What is the difference between different roast levels?

Our light roast, such as the Epic Espresso, emphasizes the flavors from the origin. It offers bright, acidic, floral, and fruity notes. On the other hand, our dark roast, like the Blue Sky Espresso, focuses on the flavors developed during the roasting process. It delivers a bold taste with chocolate and caramel notes. Our medium roast, such as the Old School and Middle School Espresso, strikes a balance between the origin flavors and the roast flavors, offering a harmonious blend of body, flavor, aroma, and acidity.

Does coffee come ground or in whole beans?

To ensure you get the freshest coffee, we always ship our coffee in whole beans.

What is the difference between espresso and filter roast?

Our espresso roasts are specifically crafted to enhance solubility, sweetness, and body, making them perfect for espresso machines and moka pots. On the other hand, our filter roasts are optimized for longer brewing times using methods like drip or pour-over, ensuring the best flavor for filter coffee.

How can I get more crema in my coffee?

For the best crema, we recommend using fresh, dark-roast coffee.

Do you sell single origin coffee?

Yes! We have a wide range of single origin espresso and filter coffees. Please visit our 49th Coffee website for more information.

Are your coffee beans 100% Arabica?

Absolutely! All of our coffees are made with 100% Arabica beans.

How do caffeine levels vary in different roasts?

Caffeine content is mostly determined by the coffee's species. Since we exclusively use Arabica beans, there is minimal variation in caffeine levels across our roasts.

Do you sell organic certified coffee?

Yes, we do! We are proud to be organic certified by CCOF. Our selection includes various roast levels of organic coffee, such as "Organic French Roast Filter" and "Organic Espresso Capsule" (compatible with Nespresso OriginalLine machines).
